Last summer, someone asked me what middle school I went to. I was 20 at the time.

Two weeks after graduation me and my friends were celebrating my friend's 18th birthday at a restaurant. Large eighteenth birthday balloons involved. It was one of those places where you walk up and order your food and take it back to your seat. So me and my friend are talking about our summer, internships, ect. The guy was listening to us and asked us how old we were, because he was CERTAIN we were in middle school and to hear our conversation confused him.Granted we are both fighting with being 5 feet but seriously we are with a bunch of friends who actually look their age.

My parents get dirty looks from strangers for making me pay for things, or me carrying designer bags because people think I'm 13.

On the flip side, people think I'm in my 20's and someone thought me and my dad were dating....

Awkward. And I will never understand why some 13-year-olds think they need Louis Vuitton in their life.

Well, seeing as though I was one of those children who felt that way, but didn't receive my first LV until recently, it's like one of the Holy Grail's of purse ownership. Middle school aged me had Coaches, Juicys and throwback Gucci bags. Purses are my life, I've been carrying them since I was a toddler.

I love Gucci. I would never shell out the money for a bag (being the cheapskate that I am), but their signature Boston bag is my favorite.

I when I was 18 I was at a job interview and they "assumed I was 21/22" which shocked me because I literally look exactly the same as I did when I was 14- like no difference.

Usually people think I'm a little older, some people say it's because I have short hair.

Agree with the hair.

Yeaaah I've always looked right about my age so I don't have too much to add to this conversation.
I will say though there are an awful lot of people out there who think they look younger than they actually do (not saying anyone on here who posted, just in general). I had a friend who once told me when we were in our late 20s how everyone still thought she was in HS. My face: .
I was always tall - reached my current height by 6th grade - so no one ever thought I was younger.

I was signing the lease for my apartment this summer, two days before my 19th birthday, and the landlord said I was too young to sign. She thought I was 13.

@CheerBank Im with you! I totally think people often think they look younger than they are. I was humbled a few years ago by a student that assumed I was 40. I was probably barely 30 at the time. It was the first time I realized how old I was to teenagers!! I definitely have crossed over the youngin threshold straight into old lady land.

Same here.... I haven't grown since middle school. Never have I ever been mistaken for younger than I really am. I guess I look about my age because when people guess they're never off by more than a year or two. People do make comments to my parents about "wow two sets of twins". Nope, there's only one.... My sister and I are 2 years apart and I don't think we look alike at all! Apparently everyone else does though. When I was helping her move in to her sorority house people kept calling her name at me. I've only had one teacher who taught both of us and didn't think we look alike - but she does think we sound the same so if she's not looking at me when I say something she sometimes calls me the wrong name. They may be even weirder considering I have a lisp and my sister doesn't....

My sisters and I look nothing alike but we sound alike on the phone. My mom says that when we call her at work (no caller ID) she has to wait a few seconds to hear what the complaint/drama is before she figures out which one of us it is.

I personally think my older and younger sound alike but not me since I'm incredibly monotone
