I totally agree its all about how you think about things. Theyre girls in french maid uniforms, maids are ppl who clean houses. Not girls in pornos, ppl need to get their heads out of the gutter.
:stupid:
Please just take a moment and process what you are trying to justify here. You're saying crop top, halter, cut-out shoulder, short skirt, FRENCH MAID cheerleading "uniforms" are completely normal and appropriate.

Did you click on the picture? Its a link to a video.
Oh no- I could only see a pic. But I'm on tapatalk on my iPhone. I just didnt realize it's a video link cuz I usually only see them as YouTube links or Facebook video links. It really just looks like A picture lol I was so confused! And when I click on it - it's still a pic but Thanks! :)

I'm guessing she was playing the NCA video in the background?
you hear the big AWWWWWW at the same time the girl fell at NCA :p

I don't think I ever noticed the "AWWW," but yes, that was the NCA vid, I believe.

You say we don't need anyone else's approval to be considered a sport. Actually, if we want to be fully recognized as a sport, we do. Look what happened in CT with the court case, we needed an outsider-a judge-to determine if cheer was a sport. Did uniforms play a part in this determination? No. But could it at some point? Yes. When people tell me that cheerleading isn't a sport, one of the first things they cite is the "skimpy uniforms".

I wasn't blaming Cheer Savannah for why cheer isn't considered a sport. Go back and read. You'll see that I said "uniforms like that are PART of the reason" (I added the capitalization of the word PART so that you would notice it, since I guess you didn't the first time you read my post).
I want to also point out that it's not just the fact that cheerleaders wear skirts, or that their uniforms are small and form fitting. Field Hockey and Lacrosse wear skirts (call them kilts) and volleyball wear the Nike Pro style shorts. The difference is all the "bling" that goes with it....the bows, the glitter eye makeup, the sequins on the uniforms-which is why Stunt and NACTA are moving away from those aspects of the uniform.

I don't think Uniforms should play apart of any reason why cheerleading isn't a sport. If a person could not see past the skill of what these athletes are doing, and their reasoning is "skimpy uniforms", then they are just plain IGNORANT.

And personally some football uniforms I have seen look like GK uniforms because they are so fitting.

But unfortunately we don't get to decide what matters to other people and what doesn't. People do often use uniforms as a means of justifying their opinion that cheerleading isn't a sport. Is it ignorant? Ya. Maybe a little. But there are a lot of ignorant people in the world and we can't just ignore all of them.
