He was on once when CP was an infant and we lived in Germany---we had very little control over the American stations we got---and as I was cleaning the table I found myself singing the set of lyrics I remembered as a kid and I turned it off. She was too young to remember or be scarred by it, but I knew I'd slip up if I let her get into it so I let her get into others things. Youngest saw him once in the store (a toy, not the real thing) and cried hysterically. Barney was just not for us.
