You people are absolutely PATHETIC!! You guys always complain that you want more cheer in the media! Three hours on ESPN and a whole channel dedicated to cheer! Then, when someone says " hey I'm making a tv show for allstar cheerleading " , you attack them NONSTOP! You guys all have NO CLUE on how it is going to be run, and you are assuming everything. All you guys do is WHINE WHINE WHINE!!! you people are the reason allstar cheerleaders have a bad name! You all prove the stereotypes to be right!

I use to not like smiley- but every time I see a post I get so happy and laugh!
Next time voting comes around on the board you are the member I'm voting id most like to meet! Like seriously I don't see how anyone doesn't like you!! You make me smile!

So, you're giving us a good name? You seem to always have something to say, so why is it a big deal if we do?
I don't care if you have an opinion, say it. But, chill out and turn the caps lock off.
You're not understanding, we were concerened b/c I saw where they wrote that cockiness and arrogance was acceptable and it sent a flag. Why would a coach want that on a team. It would have been better if would have wrote, something like any personality and not single out the type we usually see on reality shows which cause drama.
The difference between ESPN and a reality show is that ESPN shows real teams, like for Worlds. Those are actual teams who have worked together since March/April/May and practice together all of the time. They're building a team for the show, which isn't a huge deal. But there is a difference.
Anyways, I'm still excited to see what's coming.

You aren't trying to take athletes from gyms? Do you not think that this would take athletes from gyms?

I would have felt way better about this if the term "CASTING" was not used. If you are "CASTING" a team that makes it sound like the premise of the show isn't find a team to win it is about having the personalities that cause chaos on one team. Throw out that word and stick to a real tryout and things sound a lot better.

I am really not the biggest fan of shows that involve cheer because it never comes out right. Cheerleader Nation was the one show that worked IMO. Look at the show on WE or whatever channel it was that followed college teams, they lost.

I thought I heard that Kentucky Allstars was thinking about bringing back their IOC5 team this year. Could this be the team they are wanting to fill?

I am actually interested in what James Speed would say about this since it could cause him to lose athletes. If he wanted to have a show why not film it in Louisville? That is why I don't think he is part of it.

Why do I feel like this is going to be more drama filled and not cheer related? I want another Cheerleader Nation. The actual sport itself is drama filled. Someone getting hurt, not having a practice, things just going terribly wrong is enough to make a great show.I want a talent filled team. not a team filled with big personalities that creates drama and good television. If you haven't noticed, only cheerleaders watch cheerleading based shows. If it doesn't have a good cheer base then the cheerleaders don't watch and the show flops. That's why Hellcats got canceled, didn't have the real cheer element I was looking for.

If the cheer term "swagger" was used that would not have sent a flag? A coach would want it if they had the skills to back it up. There a lot of people that can be cocky and a bit arrogant, they have a swagger about them, but are able to check it at the door and do their part for the team. Keep in mind it sounds like the talent will be older where everyone understands what needs to be done. I have seen teams where they just about could not stand to be around each other, but step into the gym, on the floor and it was all about the team,,

Well, I guess that makes me think. Like I said, I will just see when they air. I understand that you can be arrogant and be a good team member but I found it weird that they singled out the cockiness and being arrogant part. But, that was just what I assumed. I was like, why would they want to tell them that it's okay to be cocky, it's just something I think could have been left out or maybe not make it so straight foward.

I think every good athlete has a tendency to be cocky and arrogant. Yes, there are some that are humble, but every team has their fair share of the drama queens and kings who manage to make that team be the best they can be. And it would make for some great TV to see them do their thing! Some of the best athletes I know are the most cocky, arrogant and have HUGE personalities, but yet they are still well respected by their teammates and coaches.

And these are the ones who some of you are saying should not be accepted on any team by a coach?

I'm deff not saying they shouldn't be accepted. I have no problem with people with big personalities. But, what I gathered is that that's what they wanted. I just hope people don't treat this like a Bad Girls Club episode and try to run Kentucky.
I may be wrong, just what I assume based on other reality shows. And I will for sure acknowledge that I was wrong if this turns out great.
I will be so happy if this is going to be a good thing and lets the world, or atleast people in America with cable, that we are athletes and not what people stereotype us as.

Wow! I didn't know some people would get so upset by something they haven't even seen yet.

Yeah, its crazy in here. I, for one, am totally excited about your venture! And you can bet alot others are, but are nervous about commenting due to the freakish amount of negative posts. You may want to ask them to PM you, that way they don't have to feel so intimidated.
