in your link it says dont use irregardless, use regardless.
Because it is not generally accepted by the public as a word, but it's still in the dictionary with all the other words. I think of it like is cheer a sport? Well it depends on your definition of sport. Is irregardless a word? Depends on your definition of a word. If being in the dictionary makes it a word, then I'd say yes it is a word. Plus apple products auto-suggest it and we all know that Steve Jobs' opinion is the one that really matters
